There are Three Giant Steps  to Global Environmental Survival.

A world poised on a knife-edge.
Getting Ahead of The Destruction Curve.
Only a single generation to decide.

Once was a rainforest. If we are to cure starvation, then we must change the economic paradigm. If we are to save the remaining rainforest, we must reject the manifest destiny paradigm. If we are to save the biosphere, we must shift from the paradigm of consumption and exploitation to the new paradigm of conservation and compassion. And if we are to do any of it at all--we must alter the paradigm of government itself.

Are we going to leave a healthy planet for future generations or bequeath a stalemate of environmental and sociological ruin? We'd better decide ... and soon

New Renaissance -- Or a New Dark-Age.

A 12-legged frog: A preview ~ of the future. How much earth is there?
Facing The Paradigm Shift ~ or a World in Crisis.

Given that 6 billion humans are sharing all the biologically productive land on this earth, each person has 5.5 acres as their personal planetoid. You can think of this 5.5 acres as your virtual homestead, spread around the world to grow your food, produce all your material needs including energy, and to absorb all your wastes. As population doubles over the next half-century, we will each be left with a 2.75 acre of personal planetoid. Leaving sufficient habitat for the 25 million other species on Earth brings this area down to one wise acre now, and half an acre in 50 years.

The truth is before us. It is no longer a theory to be discounted by timid skeptics or apathetic bystanders. The reality is that Earth is ecologically filled, meaning that everything we use beyond one acre is detracting from what another person or species has to nourish their lifestyle. We cannot stress the time frame enough. The big-picture time line view?--The human race will soon have to make a dash for survival. If we wait for the so-called news' media to give us fair warning, humanity will face a disaster of truly biblical proportions. Let's not let it happen.

Viewing the future through the eyes of science is an awakening experience. Operating in our present mode, before the first decades of the next century, steady environmental deterioration will begin to unfold. We are now faced with conclusive science. It is telling us with absolute certainty that long-range environmental survival will require proactive cooperation on an international scale. The human race faces a critical big-picture problem and has a fairly brief period of time in which to act.

Three generations and counting ...The data is there for all to see. The dynamics that govern humanity's path toward self-destruction are in firm control. Mankind's ability to create serious problems has far exceeded the ability of world governments to solve them. We have perhaps, a half-century to shift the mode of human behavior from a paradigm of consumption and exploitation to one of conservation and compassion, and a single generation to see a world united in environmental pursuits.

The leading minds of our age are in agreement. The very survival for future generations depends upon what we do in this generation. We are also beginning to realize that the battle to save the environment will not be between environmentalists and polluters, nor will it be between environmentalists and government. The battle to save the environment will be between the united resolve of average voting citizens across the globe against all the manipulative power that corporate special-interests can muster.

The irony of it all is just as we've begun to understand the dynamics of atmosphere and weather, we find ourselves watching helplessly as it all begins to change. If we fail to shake the system up and improve it considerably, the things we take for granted today will disappear forever. When our grandchildren come of age, they will not reap rewards, but only consequences of our own apathy and failure.

First, we cannot stress the time frame enough. Science is telling us that the reforms needed to stave off environmental deterioration will require proactive cooperation in nearly every nation on Earth--and the window of opportunity may be as short as a single generation! Lawmakers all across the globe must embrace a form of  legislative overdrive. Centuries of of piecemeal legislation must be passed--in a single generation. Sweeping legislation or environmental ruin?

We can choose between a new renaissance or a new dark age. We can end the age of poverty or face environmental ruin. Will our future be "Star Trek" or "Blade Runner"? The world faces a monumental moment of decision: Shift the paradigm of human behavior or bequeath a thousand years of ruin to our descendents. The decision is simple: Sweeping reforms or sweeping extinctions? Do the meek inherit the earth or do the not-so-meek ruin it? We have only a generation to make the choice.

The problems facing mankind comprise a deadly mix of factors. The legislative answer must comprise an extensive mix of reforms. Long-range environmental survival will depend upon the passage of bold new laws. To avoid environmental ruin, humanity must collectively embrace a political movement like no other in history. Present day status quo politicians are unable, and the corporate special-interests all across the world are unwilling to do it on their own.

Owing to the dedicated efforts, research, and discoveries of The Chairman's Council; we may now reveal the start-to-finish strategy to make it all happen, and in the time frame necessary. If we fail, within decades, we will comprehend what our descendents will know every day of their lives; a biological web in decay, accelerating species extinctions, and a human community in sociological downfall.

We now face the irrefutable fact: Somewhere in the distant future a human being or animal will step to the edge of an ocean; the political decisions that are made in the next thirty years--by ordinary people--will decide if that ocean is dead or alive.

For those who wish to see a world united in humanitarian and environmental pursuits, here it is: Common Sense of America presents the three giant steps to planetary survival. We also announce to the world that the Chairman's Council has designed a start-to-finish strategy to make it happen.

Discovering the American Future.

Step One

Fixing America.
It all begins with us.

The Hope of all Mankind. As history has taught us, America must be the first, then the world can follow. We must fix critical problems plaguing our own troubled nation. Only then can we reach out across the globe and achieve an international partnership of environmental stewardship. In essence, it's up to us to lead the way, again.

In 1770, a doubting world waited to see a revolution in a distant colony be put down. By 1777, the world was glued to news about our new nation. In the years leading up to 1860, a doubting world waited for America to fracture from the failure of moral courage. Yet by 1870, America was not simply united, but we had unlocked the chains of slavery across the entire planet. In 1940, a doubting world waited to see if we'd sit comfortably on the sidelines as political freedom in Europe vanished in the gathering storm. Yet by 1946, the jackboot of tyranny had been lifted from the throat of western civilization and with it, the doubt of the world had changed to a newfound hope. In 1960, an anxious world existed under the shadow of nuclear obliteration. And by 1970, the specter of nuke-war was turned to treaties in an alliance for world peace; all begun and made possible by America.

At this point, the world's televisions clicked on and the whole ballgame changed. In the 1980s, as communism faded, the human race helplessly witnessed the confluence of a new and ominous set of factors. As the world's scientists began to understand the dynamics of ecosystem and atmosphere, the people of our small planet could only watch as it all had begun to change. Now in the opening years of the 21st-century, all of mankind is faced with critical new problems that have nothing to do with colonialism, racism, political tyranny, nor atomic weapons. We all face a far more frightening threat. The atmosphere itself is changing.

We are a nation that has earned world-fame for our political courage. We built the first modern democracy, and other nations across the world would soon follow. In the last century alone, we've helped nearly half the world's nations throw off their tyrants and dictators, and usher in their own forms of democracy. It is our time once again. This time we must lead the charge to save the planet.

It will be easier to inspire the citizens of a doubting world to follow us if they see us not only redirect the national wealth into the lives of average people; but also, if they see us end the disgraceful abuse of our media by transforming it into a mechanism that protects and nourishes human lives. Everyday world citizens will certainly follow if they see us rebuild our national unity and direct it toward solving the most dangerous political crisis in the modern age: The covert manipulation of political process by corporate special-interests.

But there is far to go. As it is, the activist voice is divided--and thus beaten. Piecemeal legislative measures are routinely blocked by the lobbying industry. Both major parties are in the grip of corporate special-interests, to expect them to reform themselves has been a path of endless disappointment. Yet, there is too little time left and far too much at stake to settle for another half-century of disappointment!

If we wish to attain planetary sustainability, we must become a human race who can and will do it. The first step toward survival will be to provide average and poor Americans with more money, free education, first-class information, and extra free time to take those things and make the world a better place. Only when we have re-awakened the American problem solving spirit, can we extend our good will across the globe and unite the world into an international community of planetary managers.

The first great step toward planetary survival begins with the activists of America finding one another on common ground, proactively building a mandate of new laws, promoting a powerful 3rd Party, and then wholeheartedly supporting a new style of political candidate.

The wealthy, politically connected special-interests in all nations are making a fortune off the status quo. And at the same time, in an age of information and vision, there is simply no need for so many to be so poor. Yet, it's the poor who must save the Earth. It's fascinating and encouraging isn't it? The first giant step toward long-range environmental survival must begin with doubling your income.

If America Can be the First, the World Can Follow.
Let's make it happen.

Clearing The Path for Legitimacy.

Step Two:

Separation of Lobbyist and Lawmakers
in all Key Nations.
ETA - 2025.

The Cyber-Revolution has begun! In this second of the three giant steps, every commercial lobbyists in all industrial nations must be moved away from its lawmakers. The separation of commercial lobbyists from lawmakers across the globe will allow legislation to be passed that addresses the twin super-issues of environmental sustainability and the long-awaited eradication of poverty. This process is a necessity to insure legitimacy in step three. Yet, the lawmakers of all nations are beholden to special-interests, therefore ... they will not do it on their own.

As we now clearly understand, citizens of conscience must be provided greater authority over their national lawmakers. Today, it is the other way around. At this very moment, the lawmakers of every nation on Earth are dominated by major corporations. These large corporate entities make vast fortunes from the very paradigm that environmentalists and humanitarians are trying to change!

Furthermore, it is the citizens of industrialized nations, First World and Third World alike, that must undertake this groundbreaking process. Academics, students, theologians, philosophers, artists, and scientists all across the globe are well aware that if they cannot do this, the activist movement will continue to struggle fruitlessly against a unified wall of special-interests.

The Battle to Save the Planet will center on a single piece of high ground; a legislative ruling that will not only make it possible to avoid a future of certain environmental ruin, but also, will allow unprecedented wealth to be poured back upon average people. Caught in the middle of this fight will be the politicians in all nations. In almost all cases, the politicians of the major political parties will fight on the side of the special-interests. The leaders of the world will force a revolution. So, a revolution it must be!

The people of the modern age have the biggest battle in history to fight, and they don't even know it. Winning in this battle will require the youth, college students, academics, intellectuals, artists, and poets in every nation on Earth to inspire everyone to apply steady and relentless pressure on thier respective governments in adopting the separation of special-interest and state lawmakers. And then, follow it up with a proactive partnership dedicated to planetary stewardship.

Regardless of the nation in question, as long as the lobbying industry remains firmly entrenched in the legislative process; the hope of long-range environmental sustainability is lost. Yet, if The People are not allowed to change this paradigm, future generations will curse us for our apathy and weakness. We cannot let it happen!

The third and most critical step on the road to planetary survival will involve achieving an international partnership dedicated to the cause of legitimate environmental stewardship. The second step is to cause the Separation of Lobbyist and State--the removal of corporate special-interests--in all industrialized and key democratic nations.

So what to do? There is no precedent in history for such a groundbreaking event in politics. Someone must be the first to separate lobbyists from State, but what nation on Earth has citizens determined enough to do it?

Who will be the first to act?
Every true American knows the answer.

The Lawmakers Must Do it. No One Else Can.

Step Three:

Alliance for Global Survival.
ETA - 2035.

Prevent it. If we are to cure poverty, then we must change the economic paradigm. If we are to save the remaining rainforest, we must reject the manifest destiny paradigm. If we are to save the biosphere, we must transform the way in which we relate to the natural environment. And if we are to do any of it at all--we must alter the paradigm of government itself.

In the third and final step, the lawmakers of key industrialized nations must unite in a voluntary and legitimate manner behind a set of guidelines dedicated to environmental stewardship. The critical word being legitimate. This multi-national body will be organized much like the United Nations, yet with higher authority. Its members are not ambassadors, they are elected lawmakers. An administration similar to NASA, yet with the authority by international treaty that provides the power to issue and serve international search and closure warrants.

This Planetary Stewardship Administration is made up of scientists, teachers, detectives, students, retired persons, theologians, celebrities, doctors, and artists. Also within this administration, the new-style politicians of nearly 200 nations working hard for a future generation. These new-style politicians work to curtail and redesign many processes, ranging in size from the tiny to the gigantic, that collectively cause irreversible harm to atmosphere, earth, oceans, rivers, lakes, forests, water tables, animals, plant life, and necessary micro-organisms. Furthermore, they work to locate and resolve issues in which human beings or living creatures suffer from poverty, isolation, and hostile aggression.

In this phase of survival, the paradigm of human behavior will be shifting from consumption and exploitation to one of conservation and compassion. Humanitarian expression will have become political-will, and in each nation, poverty will be fading. The commercial media will be a proactive teaching tool. Petroleum based emissions and the cutting and burning of rainforest will have ceased. Natural areas and cultural heritage are safe, and wisdom will be applied to the international goal of global population balancing. Hydrogen and electric vehicles are replacing gas engines; thus eliminating a majority of pollutants from the atmosphere, since electricity is harvested from the sun, wind, and sea. The unhindered flow of national wealth will provide assets and resources; thus supporting a new generation wholeheartedly dedicated to global change and their adult and senior mentors.

It will truly be an alliance for global survival. To succeed to this step is to discover a world rich with the promise of human potential. To fail is to promise a future beset by cascading waves of extinctions. Success or failure is up to us, however, there are only meetings and symposiums at this time.

The Problem: International meetings and symposiums held and attended by distinguished scientists and environmentalists will not save the environment. How can they, while national lawmakers are beholden to private special-interests? We have witnessed the process for fifty years: Bills and initiatives designed to unite the world in environmental and humanitarian pursuits die at infancy.

Legitimate environmentalism disappears wherever commercial special-interests rule. Currently, special-interests dominate the lawmakers in all nations. As long as the lobbying industry remains firmly entrenched in the legislative process all across the globe, long-range environmental sustainability will be lost. So at present, this step is inaccessible.

Something else must happen first.

The International Report Card.

Legitimate Planetary Stewardship
or pacifying speeches?
One is survival; the other, disaster.

How Do we Save Planet Earth? The environmental message has been in every legislative body for nearly 50 years. The critical issue is what our lawmakers do with it. The answer?--Not enough.

It has taken fifty years of wrangling, threats, protests, and pleading for the world's leaders within industrial nations to agree on at least trying to phase out a set of only ten dangerous chemicals. Yet, still we are left with a growing list of tens upon thousands of chemicals, practices, and systems in place that are destructive to the balance of life. This so-called international cooperation is entirely inadequate.  Though politicians and industrialists across the globe may wave it in the air with pride, it doesn't even begin to touch on legitimacy in the realm of global environmental stewardship.

Are the world's leaders united in legitimate environmental stewardship--or simple pretense? The lawmakers of most nations hold out these token reforms as if they are a solution in the long-range picture. They are not. These pacifying measures cannot bring about the needed reforms in the necessary time frame in which to stave off future environmental degradation.

The World Leaders' Best They Can Do?
Not nearly enough!

The Report Card For The Status Quo.

How is Our Own Government Doing?
In the quest to save the future?

Why is it time for an Activism Council? Well, after nearly fifty years of wrangling, dodging, and lying; the very best our Government has been able to accomplish was to participate in an international agreement that trys to phase out the top-ten polluting materials. This is so inadequate! In the face of such immense and legitimate need, it clearly has been identified as a token measure designed to help both major parties appear as one's who embrace the environmental conscience!

Democrat? Republican? Both. There is a crisis of legitimacy in government. Both major parties are entirely complicit in the same schemes and abuses. There is no longer time or need to point the finger of blame at any particular politician. The responsibility for the failure of our government rests squarely on the shoulders of both major political parties. Fifty years of democrats and republicans united in failure. A century of a government in the hands of two parties involved with the same conspiracy of neglect.

The message from both major parties is clear. Our current interest dominated government cannot and will not pass adequate legislation in the time frame necessary to stave off certain ecological downfall. We need legitimacy in the process to save the future, not pretense. So what can good Americans do? It's simple, unite behind a strategy for true reform.

Fixing America is Not The End of The World.
Not fixing America just may be.

The Chairman's Council ...

We're back! Shall Separate Lobbyist from State.
And in doing so, save the environment from ruin.

For the past half-century, science has been trying to show us that we must dramatically transform the ways in which we use and manage our natural resources. This does not fit with the marketing strategy of big business, and consequently, legislative action has been so inadequate as to be accurately described as inept. Now the very air we breathe--is changing.

The one thing that will allow every activist to move ahead, is the one thing that will require every activist to unite. That is the removal of corporate lobbyists from our political strata. Laws to protect and preserve the natural world can only be made by an uncorrupted Congress. Big business and special-interests should conform to the needs and wishes of The People, not the other way around.

There is no choice. If big business is permitted to continue blocking critical reforms, within a few generations the environment will begin its cascade into ruin. Neither government lawmakers nor corporate industry in any modern nation possess the vision or courage to police themselves. Lawmakers of all world governments are guided by the inclinations of special-interests. The host/parasite relationship between lawmaker and special-interest is the crisis of our generation, and if not resolved, will be the curse of all future generations!

The time has come for all activist groups to assemble their bills and initiatives, and join them into a legislative package of sweeping reforms. We are beginning to understand that humanity has a brief period in which to adequately address this immense task. There has been no solution in sight ... Until now. The rewards will be free healthcare, free education, increased social security, higher wages, lower living costs, and more free time to make the world a better place. So join the revolution to kick lobbyists out of Washington. more»

The Clock is Ticking.
There is no escaping it.

The click is ticking ~ There is no escaping it. Will our future be Star Trek or Soylent Green? A single generation will decide. We get to choose between sweeping reforms or a future of sweeping extinctions. The people of planet Earth have perhaps, a single generation to decide--and then also get on track. So, how do we save planet Earth? What can good Americans do? Well, here are four common ways people fail.

1: Gimme', tell me, show me--now!

Un-Common Quotes.

We are inseparable from the natural world. Its like a wall of building blocks. What piece can you pull out before the whole thing comes down? D. Hudson ~ Chairman.

Once Upon a Time There Was a Rainforest ...

The Rainforest.
Comming soon ~ waves of extinctions. The result of 3 billion years of evolution. It is the least explored habitat on Earth. In the past century, 50% of primordial rainforests have been leveled. India, Haiti, and Bangladesh ... all gone. Thailand, Guatemala, Madagascar, West Africa, Oceania, and China --close to dying. Each year a forest the size of Florida lives on only in the dreams of the newly homeless forest people. In the 20th-century, in Brazil alone, ninety primitive tribes have become extinct. Each year, another tribe vanishes, leaving no trace of their presence. Only a handful of primitive people walk the lonely glades in sorrow. Their ancient wisdom--extending back 50,000 years--forever lost. Each day, ten million trees breathe their last. How many have died as you read this?

In just a century, we have leveled half the world's rainforests.  At the current rate, we will lose 1/2 of tropical plant species by the year 2100. This encompasses 1/3 of all plants on Earth. This will result in far-reaching environmental decline.

So what is the time frame?
Is there a century of abuse left in the biosphere before the glory of nature begins to fade?--No. Is Humanity heading for the 6th great mass extinction in planetary history and is it self-induced? Science is telling us the answer-- saddly yes.

To control the destruction will require far more than changing the way we cut trees. It will require nothing less than a paradigm shift. more»

Situation Critical!

Does Apathy Really Matter?
Does air? Do trees?

Remind your children to tell their grandchildren not to eat these. The data is in. By the year 2050 atmospheric CO2 levels will have doubled. Atmospheric CO2 levels will double yet again by the year 2100. Yes, you read it right.

In just a century, we have leveled half the world's rainforests. At the current rate, we will lose 1/2 of tropical plant species by the year 2100. This encompasses 1/3 of all plants on Earth. This will result in far-reaching environmental decline.

So as we save the whales, we're losing the oceans. While protecting the owls, we're losing the forests. We've hardly begun to save the forests, and already the very air we breath is changing. So now what? The wrong thing to do would be to ignore apathy.

Pollution never sleeps.
Only citizens do.

Keep Thinking About The Money.

How to Cure Apathy?
Talk about the money.

Just keep thinking about the money. As we are now realizing, it's going to be on average and poor people all across the globe to save the biosphere. The rich will never do it. Additionally, those same average people must be able to afford to do it. Yet, most people on planet Earth are poor, and there is no incentive for the rich to change the economic paradigm.

In essence, the process of successfully unifying all nations in a legitimate partnership toward environmental stewardship must begin with the eradication of poverty. Put another way, if the meek are to inherit the earth, they must first inherit their own economy. Yet, before they can do this, they must establish control of their own lawmakers. And all of it must happen soon, because the not-so-meek are right on course to ruin the earth!

Why Refine the Economy? It's Simple:
To avoid environmental ruin.

 How Important is Language?

Keeping a United American Voice
From slipping away.

When it comes to groundbreaking political change, America must be the first. If we succeed, an age of poverty will come to a close and the era of environmental survival will begin. If we fail to fix America, that failure will spread across the globe. To create free healthcare, free higher education, increased social security, lower living costs, as well as the removal of lobbyists from our government will require a united American voice.
