the economic paradigm. If we are to put an end to urban sprawl, then we must reject
the manifest destiny paradigm. If we are to save the biosphere, we must
transform the way in which we relate to the natural environment. And if
we are to do any of it at all, we must alter the paradigm of government

First, we cannot stress the time frame enough! We are
faced with
conclusive science. There is not another hundred years of abuse left in the
biosphere. The world's most respected scientists are telling us that the reforms needed to stave off environmental
decline will require proactive cooperation in every nation on Earth--and
the window of opportunity may be as short as a single generation. And yet, with government in its present corporate-interest
dominated form, it will take centuries to pass the necessary legislative
reforms.
After years of study
and extensive discussion with both dedicated allies and some of
the leading minds of our age, we are now able to identify the
fundamental issues that face Americans in the modern age. We have
also discovered the order in which they must be addressed, what it
will cost, the energy involved, and the unexpected grand rewards
that will come to this nation if it once again can find a united
voice.
If
the object is to succeed in our quest for reform, then the
mission must evolve. Getting America
back on track will be a multi-stage process. The only way we can
realistically expect to make a better America is by reaching far beyond the realm of the
environmentalist community. What
follows is a brief overview of how we can maintain our national
security, inspire a new civic political vitality, stop the
destruction of our wild spaces, and allow
unprecedented wealth to be poured back upon average
Americans.
 The coldness of the modern economy stands
like a wall between (average Americans) and political
activism. We need to extend our mission into the lives of hundreds upon millions of average
Americans who do care
about the environment, but are ready for
reform of a more immediate nature. Most of America is locked in an
economic struggle. Let's help them out of it so they can help
us, and
each other save the planet. It's
certainly something to smile about. The path to environmental
survival must begin with doubling your income.
Just as future human beings deserve a healthy
environment, present-day Americans deserve a re-designed economy
bursting with
wealth for average citizens. The answer is as obvious as it is
ironic: Those of us who are passionate about the
environment must begin by spreading a message of economic
prosperity across this nation. From this simple stratagem
will grow a movement that will make posterity rejoice.
The rules have
changed without most Americans even noticing; and as they awaken,
they're confronted with a whole new set of facts. We are going
to prove, to anyone willing to read beyond a headline, that
the survival of the biosphere is dependent upon nothing short of
bringing an end to the age of poverty. Be careful before
you say that it is 'clearly wrong'. There has been many critical discoveries, which today are well understood; however, previously they were perceived as 'clearly
wrong'.
At 50 pages, this web-site presents a brief overview of ongoing
discoveries within the Chairman's
Council. Our process begins by taking a step back and
identifying the big issues that are center stage in our lifetimes. We then
identify the factors that historically block the process of reform. In the
next step, we identify the root causes of those underlying negative dynamics.
We continue by maintaining an outside-the-box perspective, and in an
objective interdisciplinary manner, we ascertain the basic legislative goals
required to address the root causes of chronic political failure.
Understanding the big
picture is as vital to improving America as it is to planetary

aware that we have little choice but to build for an
America where The People are afforded the time, good education, accurate information, and
far more spending money: so they may go out and curtail a million separate

to bring our Common Sense message to a voting majority of Americans.
However, we must do this and do it well, for the critical elections spanning

want to be involved in politics, but almost everybody wants to change the world
and this is how we begin, with people's dreams and desires. Success
will be measured in our ability to use art, articles, and outreach to cause
average Americans to
begin wanting the Common Sense economic reform
package, along with its added benefit of environmental sustainability.
Winning
the hearts and minds of a majority of our citizens
will not be accomplished through environmentalist lessons, but
through conveying to individual Americans a vision of a re-designed and enlightened
economy. Of course, we continue to demonstrate our commitment to the
environmental mission; however, as we proceed, we also reach America with a
new message. We introduce the Common Sense
of America platform and our new vision: free college education, free healthcare, a dramatic increase in social
security, the preservation of our wild spaces, the removal of corporate lobbying from our government -and more.
The formation of a
Common Sense of America majority in public office will require a steady push by a
united voting majority, and the public must be confident in the
political mission. The final accomplishment will be
to stir
ordinary citizens out of their apathy and misguided loyalties
to a compromised two-party system--and vote for a radical
legislative agenda. It all begins with an outreach campaign
of art and articles.
 Government already has
the environmental message. To save the environment will require an entirely
fresh approach, not to government, but to other Americans. Success will be measured in
our ability to reach Americans who are not only concerned
about the natural world, but also, are
tiring of the economic struggle. As the Chairman's Council
investigates the problem of long-range environmental and
societal vitality, the one fact that keeps
echoing over and over again is as obvious as it is ironic. Saving planet
Earth is something you have to be able to afford to do.
Americans will need enough money and free time to go out, get
active, and demand that the Government get with the
times.
It is no longer enough to politely line up every
four years and pick the name of a person whom you know nothing about.
The truth is, you can no more become politically informed every four years by TV
ads and articles than you can learn to become a great athlete by watching the Olympics. If we are to
get America back on track, the election must go from a
periodic distraction, to the finish line of a grand
movement.
The rules are changing all
around us, so the mission must evolve. The answer is as obvious as it is ironic. Those of us who are passionate about environmental
survival must begin by spreading a message, not just of economic relief but
of individual prosperity and free time. Slowly at
first and then increasing in stages, Americans will begin to draw
a direct line between Common Sense and not only a new and better
future for Americans, but also, the long-range survival of the
biosphere.

direct an artistic movement at the American public as well as an

web-portals and printed publications. Through this process we will plant the seeds of
Common Sense across this nation. We will use the power of the Internet to reveal our vision to those who want to hear it.
We will craft our message in music studios, editorial meetings, and with the
artist brush. Within this process our university and internship programs will enjoy a thrilling new dimension.
 Reaching Americans with a
Common Sense message begins by placing beautiful min-posters in their hands,
on their school lockers, in their lunch rooms, in their college clubs,
bulletin boards, coffee houses, night clubs, and mail boxes. We invite artists

Candidates
But not like any other politician you've ever seen.
Every four years, Americans are invited to participate in a media
generated performance designed to create the illusion of involvement. If this were not the
case, healthcare would already be free as would higher education. You
would have more money in your pockets, as well as more free time.
Long-range
sustainability would be front and center in the political arena,
and lobbyists would be separated from State by law. Having
little other choice, Americans line up and participate in the
charade based upon whose lies they like better. This 2nd stage
provides the long-awaited and much anticipated alternative to a
process that is perilous and corrupt.
As it now stands, both major
political parties are entirely complicit in the same schemes and abuses. Both are thoroughly compromised from within by
wealthy special-interests. If that were not bad enough, high-level marketing executives of the larger
corporations are rubbing their hands together in eager anticipation of an
America struggling under the weight of a half-billion (product-gobbling)
people. Insiders within the lobbying industry are fully aware that the U.S.
population is approaching a 'critical mass'; at
which point, the possibility of 'The People' uniting in an effort to cause legitimate
reform will have moved forever out of reach.
We now introduce a new style of
candidacy built upon character, political skill, and
idealism. Men and women with the
intellectual flexibility to conceive of a government, which lacks ethical corruption inherent in modern campaign financing, that is entirely free of first-person
corporate lobbying. Common Sense politicians and activists are united to prevent
environmental decline, to return integrity to government, and to empower
American society with newfound wealth and free time. The American people may
embrace a new kind of leader. One who can function efficiently in the status-quo political
arena in order to fulfill a visionary mandate.
Common Sense offers an entirely unique
party culture: A candidacy group built from a united activist community. It is

Big Vote.
But not just any vote.
Visualize the Election of 2020.
Americans have elected a Common Sense President to the White house. Not resting on our laurels, with this landmark event has come a
Mandate containing the bills, measures, and initiatives that are
needed for economic recovery as well as environmental sustainability. Lobbyists have been separated from the
State. Social Security has doubled. Wages are increasing. Unemployment and poverty are
vanishing.
College tuition and healthcare are free, and a generation of seniors are
retiring in good health and making good use of their time. The door has opened for an international community united
in environmental stewardship.
But there is far to go ... It will take a nationwide movement to bring Common
Sense to government, and will require a united voting majority as well as a
unified activist community.
The groundbreaking moment of modern politics will come with The Separation of
Lobbyist and State. This historic measure will allow almost any reformist
organization to take a giant stride forward. Caught in the middle of this
process will be
our elected lawmakers. In almost all cases, the politicians of both major
parties will fight on the side of the special-interests, to whom
they are all beholden.
If we are to actually succeed
in restoring the quality of life that the media pretends we live every day, thousands of issues must be addressed
by elected lawmakers. However, to address individual issues in a piecemeal
fashion is fatally slow. It also
poses a crippling drain on an activist community that needs to unite if we
are to get America back on track. To solve this problem, we gather thousands of issues together into an
expansive national library of reformist intent. We build this mandate in an
ongoing fashion as we build unity within The
American Activism Council.
The days of our own self-deception are over. To
cling to the belief that significant
reforms can be passed, by a pair of utterly compromised political parties, through a fortified wall of special-interests is a
modern delusion that future Americans cannot
afford. The simple truth? Special-interest domination extends so deeply into
government that our politicians' themselves must be replaced with an
entirely new form of leadership.
To
make healthcare free, double our social security, liberate the airwaves, end
urban sprawl, preserve our wild spaces, and remove the corrupting influences
from our government will be difficult. To inspire a majority of ordinary
Americans to adjust their political mindset and vote for the candidates of a new
3rd Party into high office will be hard; yet nowhere near as hard as
bequeathing to our descendents an America in a stalemate of ecological and
sociological ruin.
If
you have a desire to see things get better, we promise a way for you to
make it happen. The Constitution
was our great gift to the world. Let a movement to separate

gift to the future. It may take two decades to bring a Common Sense President
to the White House and to secure a Common Sense majority in Congress. All we

Legal Crimes ~ The 30 Year Downfall of a Great Nation.

 Peeling Back The Layers.
On a Conspiracy of Neglect.
What has happened to America? The
gulf between rich and poor is becoming like a wall. Neither major party nor the
commercial media is willing to open up about the root causes. The Chairman's Council stepped back and
took a long and careful look. We identified the critical link among economics, information,
education, societal unity, and the post-1970 distortion of America.
The negative aspects of the post-1970 shift in America are so extreme as to be easily described in terminology
generally reserved for law enforcement. So let's examine the observable negative
trends as we would if we were conducting a criminal investigation. Let's
begin as a detective would, by peeling back the layers until we identify
the beneficiary of the crisis. What we find in this case, is conspiracy -of
neglect.
It begins with a very simple question: What could possibly be the benefit of a
'mosquito' economy (sucking your life-blood from every direction), a dumbed-down
media, a deteriorating educational standard, and an exploding foreign-language demographic? These are
recent trends that are
neither accidental nor conspiratorial--but who wins from this?
In other words, where is the advantage in creating a society where the
individual is preoccupied by financial
struggle? Especially while the individual is supplied incomplete and shallow information, and is functioning
with a diminished analytical capacity while their
cities, towns, and job markets are absorbing millions of non-English speaking newcomers. The
scientific identification of these circumstances describe a society beset by struggle, misinformation,
ignorance, and re-colonization. At this moment, these four factors are rapidly
intensifying and all are a post-1970 phenomena. So let us continue as a
detective would and ask: Who is the beneficiary of this societal collapse?
We
have identified four fundamental dynamics that are involved in the
crisis: Economics, information, education, and societal unity. When these four dynamics are present in
abundance, family and communities thrive, and people turn to each
other for fulfillment. Their lives are free of unnecessary distractions, they
have good information, a solid intellectual foundation with which to process it,
and they can speak to each other to build the societal unity required to change
their government through their vote if they need to.
 When these four dynamics are in a state of deterioration,
people turn to products instead of family and community. A financially stressed
population is at the mercy of a dumbed-down media, without the benefit of
academic skills. And those Americans who would wish to improve their government
through the vote, find themselve's stuck cold in an exploding population with whom
they cannot communicate. In this circumstance the possibility of significant
political reform vanishes.
One of the most shocking discoveries within the subject of
modern American politics comes to us as we
take an objective look at the conspiracy of neglect in our own government.
In 1970, there were about 100 lobbyists in Washington. Today, there are more than
25,000. If either political party or corporate America wanted it to be different,
it would be different. Therefore, a single factor can be clearly identified; somehow it has happened,
that your struggle has become a profit-making component for big business.
Let's change that.

In corporate America greed has become the
new religion.
The one thing that will allow
every activist to move ahead, is the one thing that will require
every activist to unite. That is the removal of corporate
lobbyists from our political strata. Laws to protect and preserve the natural world can only be made by an uncorrupted
Congress.
If we succeed? The result will be free higher education, free healthcare,
dramatic increases in social security, and your income will increase. You will
have more hours each day to be an artist, athlete, activist, traveler or
dreamer. Most important of all, your descendents will inherit an environment that is
alive and thriving.
If we fail? It will mean the loss of our American
identity and national language, runaway poverty, perpetual unemployment,
endless urban sprawl, a government forever for-sale, and an absolute guarantee of
long-range environmental ruin.
Big business and special-interests should conform to the needs and wishes of The People, not the other way around. There has been no solution in
sight, until now. The Activism Council presents a strategy that
allows each activist to use a small portion of their voice to accomplish this

Hanging in The Balance.

The Price of Failure.
A centuries-long downfall.
 As
you read this, conditions have been set in
government for effective manipulation of political
process. Both major parties are beholden
to commercial interests, making government sponsored economic,
environmental or political reform unattainable. Conditions have been set in the
media causing an ever more commercialized information stream. Being that the same corporate interests, which dominate both
political
parties, also dominate the commercial media through advertising revenue. The
American media no longer embodies a legitimate voice for political
reform.
By 2060, the population of the United States will have reached
half a billion, nearly a third of whom will be living in non-English-speaking
'micro-nations' arising since 1970, thanks to the failure of an outdated entry
policy. With a fractured American
society comes an easily divided American voice. The result? Citizen sponsored
political reform will be an impossibility for our descendents.
 Imagine the
Tri-Centennial of 2076. Take the negative factors of present-day America and
multiply them over and over again. We better hope our descendents like it
because at that stage there will be no possibility of correcting it. Click away

Where Does it All Come From?
A very uncommon think-tank.
The Chairman's Council is pleased to unveil a
new model to describe the forces involved in human self-rule during the modern age.
We now present a single theory to
describe the nature of modern politics and the vital human element within it.
This long-awaited system helps us make sense of our world
on all scales and in all places, and can easily be seen as The Holy Grail of modern
political reform.
 Owing to the dedicated
efforts of anthropologists, philosophers, political scientists, sociologists,
psychologists, and historians, we are opening up a whole new spectrum of answers to age-old questions.
The Council's preeminent discovery is the time frame when they must
be successfully addressed if our descendents are to progress into the
distant future free of environmental and sociological downfall.
The pioneers of this new theory have worked for
years while few others cared enough to believe, but we never lost focus or faith.
What has resulted is a 'theory of everything' for the modern political paradigm.
We have developed a model that can describe contemporary political behavior as
well as the root causes of failure: on all levels. It holds the promise that we can finally
understand how governments may join in an effort to turn away from a path that
is leading directly to
environmental ruin.
Finally, whenever a citizen seeks to
understand something in society or the political arena, no matter how
counter-intuitive that thing may be, they may find understanding as well as a

Explosions don't just kill people.
 It
took the human species until the year 1804 to reach its first billion. Over
the next two hundred years, we added 5 billion more. Today's human population,
now numbering 6.3-billion, will increase to nearly 11 billion by 2050. To add to
this ever growing problem, science shows us that our Earth is ecologically filled.
And yet, neither of the major parties has anything to say about it.
The
population of the United States has increased by 100 million, since 1970. The long steady population explosion currently taking place in
America will, without any doubt, kill the hope of a Common Sense
economy. By the
Tri-Centennial, America will have half-a-billion occupants. Interestingly, the
only benefactors of this population surge are corporate interests who sell
products and services to the masses.
We're facing not only a doubling of the Earth's
population in 60 years, but also, the atmosphere itself is changing in step. As
of yet, neither of the two major parties is willing to discuss the real
future that awaits 22nd-century Americans. It is vital that every voting American be made aware of
the relationship among population expansion, societal unity, and the very
sustainability of the continental United States.
